What is dhan yoga?
Dhan yoga as the name suggests is a planetary combination that gives you wealth. Dhan yoga also known as Lakshmi yoga is a combination where planets of 1st, 2nd,5th, 9th and 11th house are related to each other. In vedic astrology 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th house are wealth related house. If the lord of the wealth related houses exchange the houses or sit in conjunction in a single house or mutually aspect each other or single planetary aspect from one house to another it forms dhanyoga. When a powerful dhanyoga formed?
An exchange of planets related to the wealth house or mutual exchange of planets related to the houses creates powerful dhanyoga. If there is a single aspect of planet the yoga is less powerful.
In the above chart, the lord of first house is Venus, lord of second house is Mercury. The lord of fifth house is also Mercury while lord of ninth house is Saturn and lord of eleventh house is Jupiter.

Lord of first house is in second house:
There is an exchange of energy between first house and second house and both the lords are in conjunction in second house. As second house is the house of family and first house is self, It shows gain from family.
Lord of fifth house in second house
There is an exchange of energy between second house and fifth house. As fifth house is the house of creativity and second house is the house of wealth, it shows gain from creative fields.
Lord of ninth house in fifth house
There is an exchange of energy between ninth house and fifth house. As fifth house is the house of creativity and ninth house is the house of long distance travel, it shows gain from creativity and arts while travelling long distance.
Lord of ninth house aspecting second house

Lord of eleventh house aspecting lord of 2nd and fifth house
Less powerful dhanyoga as jupiter is not placed in wealth related house. Shows gain form competition and enemies.
Lord of eleventh house also aspects lord of first house
Less powerful yoga. Again gain from competition and enemies.
So during the mahadasha and antardasha of the planets involved in dhan yoga the native will gain money through the activities related to that house.
